I'm Teyonah Parris, the heart behind blūm. This brand
blossomed from a self-discovery journey of loving, embracing, and understanding my own natural hair texture.

I struggled for years to accept my natural hair as well as to include myself in the narrative of what I personally believed to be beautiful. It was not until I found a community that not only embraced their natural hair, but boldly celebrated every kink, curl, and coil that helped me to see the beauty of my own naturally kinky tresses! It was this time of connecting with others on a similar path, that I gained the knowledge and confidence to fully love and appreciate my natural hair texture.

blūm is my way of sharing my love of natural hair and to help provide knowledge, products, guidance, and helpful tips to those who are already natural, just starting the journey, or simply curious about the experience. My hope is to provide you with products and knowledge that I wish were accessible to me earlier in my journey so that you have everything you need when you're ready.
